hi dave.....it was a nice experience to go through your articles. These days i am working on time management. I went through hundreds of sites but the stuff i found in yours were awesome. Actually to be true, we all know these things and tips. But the dumb person who is residing somewhere deep down within us never allow us to do something good always. Actually its good to try new things, new habits but its important to stick to those habits. If 1000 people read this article maybe for a day or two they will try these stuffs. To be true...there is nothing to live in a good routine but its important to live with good dreams. And henceforth, when you start chasing those dreams all little problems will automatically get solved.

Dear mr. Cheong,

I stumbled on your website a while back and bookmarked it immediately. The articles you write contain wisdom that one might not be able to apply instantly in life, but in time when you consider them over again might be very useful. I\'m happy and grateful that you started writing down some of your reflections and I try to visit your site every now and then to comprehensively read an article( which is a struggle for me because I have ADHD).

In this article one thing you said really caught my attention and caused me to reply. It was the sentence: \"Every victory lays the foundation for the next challenge \"( in the third point you made). For me especially struggling with ADHD this is true on many levels. I really have to remain calm with every setback (believe me there have been and will be countless) and have faith that there will be progress and success if I manage to try again. Looking back on victories achieved in the past trough hard work, helps with doing so. Through reading this now, I\'ve also come to see that it will be helpful to recognize that: The mere fact that I\'m struggling with stuff is due to the fact that I already am on my way to success. In struggling and dealing with issues is not a indicator of failure but an indicator of A NEED FOR IMPROVEMENT.

I would also like to add something to this sentence that I read somewhere else(I can\'t provide a source because there wasn\'t one listed when I read it) and this would be the following: \"Every challenge creates an opportunity to be victorious\".

I have you put these two together in and my opinion I have found them to be interrelated. Whereas :\"Every victory lays the foundation for the next challenge \" points out that when we are victorious we soon feel the need to improve and expand and we can be helped to look back and draw motivation from what we already have achieved, the other saying points out something else. It has to do with how we look and experience setbacks. If we look at setbacks and challenges and become frightened, we are going to be lost in this world no matter what your background is or circumstances are. Because life is all about setbacks challenges and hardship. If we however look at challenges and setbacks and see them as an opportunity to become victorious, the rewards can be amazing.

Couple the two:\"Every victory lays the foundation for the next challenge \" and: \"Every challenge creates an opportunity to be victorious\", and you will see that growth wether it is spiritual or material is an ongoing, cyclical AND (very much so in-fact) an incremental process. This resonates beautifully with the insight you\'ve shared with us on many occasions: that growth and success are incremental processes!!! I would like to add to this that they are also cyclical processes!

I\'m sorry if this response was a bit elaborate. I just really felt the need to share with you some of my insights that I gained through your articles. I hope nobody got bored or sidetracked while reading it. I wish you good luck on your journey and I definitely will be following your efforts by visiting this site!

With kind regards,

I totally agree with this article.
Just like setting goals that are too high, one will be more likely to fail if he tries to improve drastically MANY areas of his life at one go.

And for new habits to grow into us, no matter how motivated we are or how much we want, our brain needs enough tries to get used to the new action for it to become a habit.

Hey im 16 years old and i have been having difficulties with school and life in general. I always try to do my best but for some reason i never seem to accomplish my goals. Its very hard for me to get through a day and not feel rejected or not satisfied with my life and it really tears me apart to know i try and try and not not be happy with myself it may be because i have no one to open up to and my father never gave me that comfort to go to him and tell him whats wrong. I read this article and hopefully it helps me but if anyone please try to help me, i really need someone to show me the right way to get through life. Please comment back
Thanks

That’s a nice article.

"In fact, I think the competitve nature is the source of our motivation, which brings happiness to the path of life, unless we go in the pitfall of stuck in a narrow competition."

hi,

I like your articles. Any advice for me? I am returning to career counselling and life skills coaching for immigrants and people displaced from the workforce by tragedies, drugs and violence, after a stint in retail.

My problem is that I usually work so hard at counselling I am totally exhausted at the end of the day. I struggle to focus and thats what makes me all hyped up.

How can I make my work more fun?
