Dave,

Thanks for the great article! It's made a huge difference for me. After I graduated high school, I started sleeping in until noon every day, and have been fighting the habit for the last ten years. Now over the last two weeks I've been enjoying a dramatic improvement.

What I've found most helpful is to:
1) Have one quiet alarm in my bedroom, and place a second loud alarm set for 10 minutes later in another room. That way I'm not annoyed by the first alarm, and have to get up to disable the loud alarm before it goes off.

2) Do something productive in the morning! I have a half million little projects that are fun but don't have to be done. The early morning is perfect for those.

Thanks Dave for this post. I believe that always returning to basics has solutions to many of our problems.

Waking up early is philosophy for living and its has ripple effect on our plans and actions. I feel like early risers have higher urgency on the value of time and they like to see the whole day.

A prominent artist once noted that he works till dawn and wakes-up after 3:00PM. He writes his best songs from 2AM to 4AM. This is unusual life style. A person with his fame and success might justify this life pattern.

We are normally measured based on our productivity based on the how many things get done and quality. Early risers are more geared to be tasks oriented rather than having high creativity job, like this songs' composer.

I like it very much! Just admirable! Your authorship manner is pleasing and the way you embraced the topic with grace is exemplary. I am intrigued, I assume you are an master on this issue. I am subscribing to your updates from now on.

Figured I'd pass along to others having a tough time in the a.m. / I recently started this new personal wake up service called Kick Start pro. So far it's been great. Think I've finally found the secret to getting up early - I have to pay for it! It's better than paying for all the alarm clocks I've broken, I guess. :-)
